Temptation
where did the original sin come from?
I imagine you all aware of the most beautiful angel that existed, Lucifer, most commonly known as Satan or the devil.
His sin alone started it. Satan was well aware of his beauty, and after a while he felt that he deserved to be a God, instead of singing for God and protecting . I hope that by reading these two paragraphs below , you might get a better grasp.
ISAIAH 24:12-14
“You, the bright morning star, have fallen from the sky! You brought down other nations; now you are brought down. You said to yourself, “I'll climb to heaven and place my throne above the highest stars. I'll sit there with the gods far away in the north. I'll be above the clouds, just like God Most High."
Ezekiel 28:12~15 ““Son of man, raise a lamentation over the king of Tyre, and say to him, Thus says the Lord God: “You were the signet of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. You were in Eden, the garden of God; every precious stone was your covering, sardius, topaz, and diamond, beryl, onyx, and jasper, sapphire, emerald, and carbuncle; and crafted in gold were your settings and your engravings. On the day that you were created they were prepared. You were an anointed guardian cherub. I placed you; you were on the holy mountain of God; in the midst of the stones of fire you walked. You were blameless in your ways from the day you were created, till unrighteousness was found in you. In the abundance of your trade you were filled with violence in your midst, and you sinned; so I cast you as a profane thing from the mountain of God, and I destroyed you, O guardian cherub, from the midst of the stones of fire.”
AS YOU can see, he was beautiful and his pride overtook him. He wasn't created to be against God but he too had free will. When he sinned ultimately against God , he was kicked out of heaven.
: the first issue in humanity
Genesis 3-4
In my opinion, the first problem was that eve even engaged in conversing with the serpent to begin with.
The temptation wasn’t just that Adam and Eve ate the fruit, but they doubled God.
“Did God really say?”
Because of the serpent, Adam and Eve started believing that God was withholding things from them. They too, like the serpent wanted more. The serpent is known for his deception, only Adam an Eve were innocent and didn’t know. They just knew not to eat the fruit from the tree of knowledge. So in the end, they disobeyed.
In all honesty, it wasn’t that God was withholding anything but rather God was trying to protect us from evil. We were all originally created to be good, and God didn’t want us to see the evil. But he created us with free will from the beginning.,
Temptation is all around us so it wasn’t just Adam and Eve. We were born & created to be close to God. Adam and Eve were literally walking with God.
Khata ( heb. Sin) fail or to miss the goal. Our goal now is to return back to God. As sin came into the picture, we pulled ourselves away from God. Maybe much like Adam and Eve hiding.
I tend to ask God “Where are you .” It’s then that I realize that he never left me, it was my absence, and never his.
You know, we weren’t created to be evil or to turn from God. We weren’t created to sin. But once sin was out there, disobeying Him became easier.
For example: if you continue failing into the same sin time & time again, you start to become immune to that temptation, therefore it eventually starts to bother you less. Eventually you can’t feel that sin is a sin anymore. You never want to get numb to those sins. Because once you fall so deeply into it, it becomes very difficult to break yourself out of.
God has even called us to guard our hearts
All it takes is once for your spiritual guard to be down. One time, and the enemy will creep into your heart and mind.
You know, God has set boundaries in our lives to protect us. He totally has the power to control us, but he wants us to love him on our own will and not by force. Because of our free will, we can do what we want, but keep in mind everything has consequences.
Try to keep this in mind” Would Jesus allow it?”
Okay okay now I’m just rambling , lol.
But overall what I want to say is protect yourself, temptation is everywhere, but it’s up to you to fight it, or let it consume you. Listen to God, HE will never tempt you or confuse you. If you are feeling tempted or confused, keep this in mind~ its not from God. God will NEVER tempt you into sin. It’s not in his nature to sin.
